As many of you know, my totally adorable grandson was born on the anniversary of Cowpens-January 17th. That was two years ago. Today I find out by accident that I share the same birthday as Robert Bass. OK...I know I'm being silly, but maybe God does have a sense of humor.

I don't share mine with anyone.

Mine was always the same day grammar school let out in May. All my friends celebrated on that day, but it was never about me.

Because of this, I'm emotionally scarred.

The only thing that happens on my birthday is that July ends and August begins. I suppose I should also consider that my birthday is on the cusp of two months named for Roman emperors... *ego begins inflating wildly* Sorry, Augustus, looks like Julius got me first!

Awww....poor baby! My grandson number 2 is going to be born sometime end of May early June. So, when IS your birthday, and I'll tell my daughter to shoot for that. (Yeah...right!) But I don't think they're going to name him JPeter.

Please don't name any boy jpeter. Talk about emotional scarring....

My birthday is May 31, but most schools now let out much earlier.

OK, the weirdness doesn't stop there. Today I hear that the commandant of the USS Cowpens is someone named Holly (and a last name.) She's under investigation for slapping around subordinates and making them walk her dog. Oh big deal! Go Holly Cowpens! I'm an "e-y" but hey...

My Birthday September 25:

William Faulkner (my favorite)
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker!)
Catherine Zeta Jones (if only)
Michael Douglas
Christopher Reeves (God rest him)
Barbara Walters

Not a bad collection of individuals...
